Micro Businesses on the Rise!
When the economy declines and people have a tough time staying employed they become innovative. The more must become innovative because they don't have much of a choice. They can eat or they cannot eat but most will fight for some sense of pride and resource. Thus small businesses, or micro businesses, will bring new levels of competition based upon personal connections. These micro businesses may come to challenge major corporations over time. People will trust the individual versus the advertising campaign.
It is important to first define what a micro businesses is. A micro business is smaller than a regular business. It is smaller than a small store or barber shop. It has very little overhead and earns anywhere from a few dollars to a few thousand dollars a month. Many of these micro-businesses are run out of homes, on street corners, and off of the internet. Third world nations are full of micro businesses in alleys, bazaars, and border crossings. One cannot miss the presence of street vendors and small craftsmen across the world.
Micro businesses are a way in which people can augment their income in tough times. Some of these micro businesses will turn into small businesses, large businesses, and then corporations over time. One must only look back in history to see black and white pictures of the predecessors to major corporations. A man and a fruit truck turns into a nationally known grocery chain and these pictures are almost all but forgotten. Every major business started with an innovative owner.
The types of people who start micro-businesses are the common man or woman who has aspirations to be more than average and to be independent from the demands of others. They have dreams of becoming something important, to have more money, and live a life of independence. They have learned throughout the years that motivation and persistence will win over time. Each day these entrepreneurs work hard to eke out a little more money.
